  • Miso Mushroom Meatballs (Gluten free, Dairy free)

    This incredibly flavourful and nutritious recipe was created by my Naturopath friend Dr Marissa Janse van Rensburg. Kids don't always like mushrooms, and even as adults we forget that it's actually jam packed with nutrients and an important vegetable to incorporate in our meals. This meatball recipe hides mushrooms and prebiotic rich miso paste - perfect for kids (and adults)! Make them full size for dinner or mini meatballs for lunchboxes and on-the-go snacks.

  • Ingredients

    1 punnet of mince (500 gr)

    1 pack of mushrooms (250 gr)

    1 onion

    1 egg

    1 Tbsp miso paste

    1 tsp dried parsley

    Salt and pepper

Instructions

Chop the onion and mushrooms until very fine.

Add chopped onions and mushrooms to a bowl with the rest of the ingredients. 

Mix it all together until well incorporated.

Roll into balls.

Bake in oven at 200 degrees celsius for 20 - 30 min or until nice and brown
