What is a Health Coach?

A Health Coach is a supportive mentor and wellness advisor who works with clients to help them feel their best through food and lifestyle changes. Instead of prescribed one diet or way of exercising, Health Coaches tailor individualised wellness programs to meet their clients’ needs.

What makes a Health Coach Unique?

Traditional doctors and physicians contribute to healthy living but are not specifically focused on helping their patients build healthy habits and change their lifestyle on a day to day basis. This is where the health coach supports you.

Health Coaches consider all areas of a person’s life and address a wide variety of wellness factors. Relationships, exercise, career and spirituality are just as important to your health as the food you eat. Health Coaches understand this and take a holistic approach to supporting the whole person.

How did you become a Health Lifestyle + Nutrition coach?

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied a variety of dietary theories and highly effective lifestyle coaching methods.

How does it work?

As your Health Coach, I will give you the resources to be the best version of yourself and walk beside you every step of the way. Together, we develop strategies to reach your personal health and wellness goals, intentions, resolutions – whatever you want to call them!

You will develop a deeper understanding of food and lifestyle choices that work best for you, improving your energy, balance, health, and happiness.

I work with you to get in touch with your body’s needs because I understand that life happens and your needs will change. I want to equip you with the self-awareness to make the best decisions for yourself in any given circumstance. I believe each person is fully capable of making well-informed decisions as their own expert, not the latest magazine article or fad diet book.

We will also talk about things beyond food, seeking to bring balance to important elements of your life such as love and relationships as well as career and mindfulness. I will carefully guide you to make simple, small changes that transform your life.
